Pay-Listers, What Do You Want Me To Write?

Thank you for reading and supporting De Civitate. By that, I mean, specifically: thank you for giving me money for De Civ. It makes it possible for me to do this—not least because it’s how I justify spending so much time crunching election numbers to my wife, who would really prefer I do the dishes. I’ve always blogged, but I have written more, better, and deeper on Substack than ever before—and that’s very much thanks to you and your financial support.¹ It means the world to me, honestly.

But you aren’t just doing this to encourage me.² When you signed up for De Civitate, I promised you would get EXCLUSIVE ACCESS to two features:

1. Full access to “Worthy Reads," and

2. “Playing PredictIt,” an ongoing series about “my quest to turn $10 into $1000 by making bets on politics” at PredictIt.com.

Unfortunately, PredictIt was largely shut down last year by a court case, which is ongoing. I suspended the series in the interim, because I’m no longer placing bets.³

You, the paying customer, deserve a replacement! I should be writing at least one thing especially for you every month or so!
