Can you point me at a decent, concise definition of post-liberalism? Is it just having lost the faith in the "alien machinery" and groping for something to replace it or something more?

There's many different kinds of post-liberalism. But you just named the thing that makes them all post-liberal: they have turned against one or more of the pillars of the Liberalism Machine (usually all of them).

The post-liberalism that occupies the majority of my brain-space (despite being, objectively, among the least dangerous) is Catholic integralism. This is the specific post-liberalism favored by Vermeule, Ahmari, and The Josias. (I think Deneen too? But I haven't read enough Deneen.) And, helpfully, they do define it in three sentences!: http://thejosias.com/2016/10/17/integralism-in-three-sentences/

(Important note: when they say "the spiritual power," they mean "the Pope.")

Woah... If am understanding that correctly, that is some soil rich for totalitarianism... But that makes sense. It doesn't matter the ideology behind it, if liberalism (as you define above) is abandoned, then the only thing left is force through the heavy political mechanisms that have been built for that purpose... Control.

Doesn't matter the flavor you choose, it's sal unhealthy in the end.

You are, and it is!

I should note that one of the reasons integralism is among the least dangerous is just because it is one of the least likely to actually gain power. The USA is a Secular nation that is, at its very heart of hearts, Protestant. "Romish Popery" will simply never have that kind of a foothold in America until and unless the Reformation ends of its own accord.
